New Project: Hartmann the Anarchist
Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 02:04 PM - Projects
Right now, I'm working on a quick project, that combines a few of my interests; steampunk, ebooks, and classic fiction. I've started work on creating an ebook of Hartmann the Anarchist - or Doom of the Great City. It was written in 1892 by Edward Douglas Fawcett, brother of the inspiration for the Lost World. The story tells the tale of a dastardly man who attacks London from airships. I am doing the work with Sigil, which I've compiled versions for Ubuntu, and Debian.

Cheapbastardgamer.com

Another of my projects I am working on, has somewhat gone live.

Rather that keeping it under wraps till things are going, due to its nature, I'm launching right away.

Cheapbastardgamer.com is a site that helps you sort through the crap, and find out what games are good, that will easily fit in any poor man's budget. Anyone who knows me, knows that this is an area that I excel in. Anyway check it out, see it evolve. Hopefully soon will have a better layout up.

Synonymously
Thursday, July 31, 2008, 01:44 PM - Projects
Started on a new project with a good friend of mine, Andrew. Been a long time since I've got to code with him on something, and I have high hopes for this project.

It will be up over at http://www.synonymously.net. What is it? That is for you to find out. Can you figure out the puzzle? Pretty easy if you ask me, but try anyway.

Ads

Ok, over on streetrod3.com I put up some adsense ads. I'm not looking to profit, I just hope that I can eventually make enough so that it breaks even. That's all. Just to pay for itself. If I was in it for the money, I wouldn't have GPL'ed the code.

zOMGWTFBBQ! ZOMBIE WEBSITE!
Wednesday, July 23, 2008, 10:16 PM - Projects, Street Rod 3

Yes, Streetrod3.com has risen from the grave. After much time, finagling, hassle, and personal expense, I've wrested the domain and data from others, and begun to restore things. Eventual plan is to totally redo the site, but, as things stand, better to have the old site up, rather than a squatter's page.

What does this mean about the project? Well, contrary to popular belief, it was never officially canceled (Unless you count the brother of the webmaster as someone who has that authority). That posting on the website was made without the prior knowledge or consent of the SR3 devteam. In fact, we were in the middle of prepping a new release at the time. Unfortunately, all it served to do, was piss off the devteam and make most of them quit. As things stand now, I'm the only devteam member left. What I would like to do is start recruiting some programmers (Sorry modelers, we need to get some coding done first), and begin work again. I have a few bits of code I want to add to the code base, but most of the changes that was made for the release being worked on at the time of shit hitting the fan has been lost in a drive crash. That included work on tools to make new tracks.

Still, all is not lost. We have the code from the last release, we have the site again, so, we can pickup and carry on.
